Room M Celebration Day 2015

Dear Room M Families, On Friday 14th of August Room M will be having a special celebration day. It is a day where we have fun and celebrate together. As a part of our day we will be having a shared lunch. Each child is asked to bring a small plate of food to share with their classmates. Our lunch will be at 12.30pm and parents/caregivers are invited along to join in our       celebrations. If you have a questions don’t hesitate to ask. Mrs Finlayson

Newsletter Week 1 Term 3

Room M Families,

Welcome back to Term 3, I hope you have had an enjoyable holiday and are ready for a busy term.

Spelling & home readers will start coming home this week. Maths homework will begin in the next few weeks. In the meantime feel free to visit our class blog for some excellent math sites or www.studyladder.co.nz

You will notice that your child may choose to bring a PLAY home to read this term. Our focus during reading is fluency. This will also allow them to gain   confidence with public speaking. Your child might need your help practicing lines or organising a costume later in the term.

HELP– Mrs Finlayson needs empty water or fizzy bottles with lids. She needs A LOT!!

Also if you have newspaper or junk mail spare we’d love it.

Notice for Wednesday Week 6 Term 2 2015

Dear Room M Families,

Well Term 2 has taken off with a hiss and a roar. Can’t believe it is Week 6 already!

Winter will soon be upon us and snuggling in the warmth will be our aim! This is a good time for your child to bring slippers to wear during class time if they wish.

A reminder of our class blog, we regularly add your child’s work examples and notices you may need to see.

I have recently added a playlist of stories for your child to listen to if they forget their home reading book or need some extra reading. Also there are fabulous links to maths sites that your child can use as extension or extra support homework.

It is a fabulous way your child can share their learning journey with you and  other family members. Feel free to share the web address with family in other towns or countries so they can see what your child has been doing too.

SWIM FOR LIFE Term 2 Mondays

Swim for Life starts for Room M on the first day of Term 2. We will be doing 10 30min session, our time is 11.30am each Monday.
